- Uncommon Love moved me from feeling helpless and hopeless to being full of hope in this SSA journey. Being in a group of other parents on the same journey helped me to not feel isolated. I was encouraged by being able to pray with others and to know they understood my tears and fears. The study was Biblically solid, and Mary’s life coaching experience was evident in how she led this group. I am so thankful…! I cannot express my appreciation in mere words. –Jan R.
- Thank you! Thank you! God brought this support group and study exactly when I needed it! The study truly helped me work through a lot of the questions I had. I deeply appreciated the biblical view as I was wrestling with how to hold onto truth and still love my daughter. More than anything I needed the friendship and insight from other parents walking the same path I now walk. I highly recommend this study and support group. If you are not a parent of an SSA child, it would be so helpful to us if you could better understand the journey that we parents are on, because we need the support of our churches and our friends. If you are the parent of an SSA child, I pray that you will take the step to do this study, even though it can be scary to do so. –Michelle B.
- This study has been a “marriage changer” for my husband and me! It has challenged us both to dig deep about how we really felt and then most importantly, to TALK to each other! Before this study we would just argue IF we talked about our son. It also gave me peace I desperately needed by knowing God’s thoughts on this issue, and because many Christians don’t offer support to those of us who desire to show love and compassion without compromising our faith…. –Beth F.
- Thank you! This study enabled my daughter (the mom of an SSA child) and me (the grandmother) to better understand the difference in our roles and that it’s okay for our responses to be different. Mary did a wonderful job! It was so helpful that she was genuine, candid, and transparent. –LG
- Mary kept the group focused and on time but allowed us to share freely. She was very kind, authentic, and respectful, and the study was thoroughly relevant to my situation with my SSA child. –SS
- Thank you. I have grown and learned to give every aspect of this situation to God more than I did in the past! –SJS
