God’s Word is rich with wisdom, promises, and compassionate understanding. Join me as we “soak” in the rich words of Psalm 34:17-18.
“The LORD hears His people when they call to Him for help.”
(Explanation/Elaboration: He hears your cries for help. You—the one He gave His Son for; the one He calls His own; the one whose name is inscribed in the palms of His hands. Beloved of God, He hears you; He sees, He knows, He understands. He will never ignore your suffering.)
“He rescues them from **all** their troubles.” (Emphasis mine)
(Explanation/Elaboration: The way things are today is not how they will always be. God is working. Wait for Him. Trust Him in the waiting. Cling to the hope you have in His promises. Surrender all to Him. Stand firm. He’s got you. He’s got this!)
“The LORD is close to the broken-hearted;”
(Explanation/Elaboration: You are not alone. He is right there with you. He sees your pain. He has compassion for you in the context of the deepest possible understanding. Press into His embrace; welcome His presence. Find your strength in Him.)
“He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”
(Explanation/Elaboration: Your ABBA Father sees your crushed spirit and His heart is broken for you. He is working in your circumstances and in the lives of your loved ones. His sovereign, loving plan is in process. He rescues us in the best ways—not necessarily in the ways we would choose to be rescued; and He does so in His perfect timing. He is trustworthy, kind, faithful and true. You can trust Him. Things will not always be as they are today. Hold onto hope.)
Dear one…trust His heart and plans for you today. Just for today….😉
